Getting Started with Tyro Plugins: Installation & First Steps
A complete beginner's guide to installing and configuring your first Tyro Plugin on a WordPress site.
Downloading Your Plugin
All Tyro Plugins are available for download from the Tyro Plugins dashboard. After purchasing or subscribing, log in to your account, navigate to Downloads, and grab the latest release zip file for the plugin you want.
Installation
Installing a Tyro Plugin is identical to any other WordPress plugin:
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Select the .zip file you downloaded
- Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin
Configuration
Most Tyro Plugins require zero configuration to get started. This is by design. We believe a plugin should work the moment you activate it, without requiring you to wade through an onboarding wizard or a settings page full of checkboxes.
Magic Login, for example, is fully functional immediately after activation. The link generator appears automatically on every user's profile screen in the WordPress admin.
License Activation
If your plugin requires a license key for premium features or updates, you'll find your keys in the Tyro Plugins dashboard under Licenses. Copy the key, paste it into the plugin's settings (if applicable), and save.
Tyro Plugins ship with sensible defaults. We don't make you configure what shouldn't need configuring.
Keeping Plugins Updated
Updates are delivered through the standard WordPress update mechanism. When a new version is available, you'll see it in Dashboard → Updates just like any plugin from the WordPress.org repository. Always update — new releases often include security patches.
